Some easy and effective Home Remedies for treatment of Dysmenorrhoea include:
- Take some asafetida and fry it in ghee. Now add a teaspoonful of buttermilk in it. Have it once a day. It is very helpful in treatment of dysmenorrhoea.
- Take some sesame seeds and mix it with glassful of water. Drink this solution twice in a day. It is very beneficial at time of menstrual pains.
- Have salads and especially boiled beetroot salad, or have beetroot juice.
- Ginger is beneficial in treatment of dysmenorrhoea. Sometime cold climates can also cause painful and unbalanced periods. A mixture of ginger sweetened with sugar is taken for treating such problems.
- Henna is a cooling agent. Grind the leaves of henna to make paste. Place this paste in the vagina of women who have trouble of extreme menstruation.
- The aloe vera nourishes the uterus. Hence it is given in case of painful menstruations.
- Lemon grass is also helpful in dysmenorrhoea treatment. It gives relive in painful and difficult menstruation. It can be taken in the form of a tea.
- There are some dietary tips for who have painful or irregular periods: -
- In the last week of the menstrual cycle avoid all constipating foods like fried and sour foods, Meat, poultry, dairy products and protein-rich pulses. Fish is a good dietary indication for painful periods.
- In vegetables, avoid Potato, yellow pumpkin and eggplant.
- Bitter gourd, papaya, drumstick, white pumpkin, snake gourd and cucumber are good in dysmenorrhoea.
