Home Remedies for Halitosis

Halitosis or bad breath is a state when an unpleasant odor releases from the oral cavity of a person. Following are some effective home remedies for halitosis treatment.
  1. Deep breaths are very beneficial in treatment of halitosis. Do pranayam daily at least 15 to 30 minutes.

  2. The easiest and very effective home remedy for halitosis treatment would be fenugreek tea. Make a tea using fenugreek seeds and drink this tea daily.

  3. Eating raw green guava regularly is very beneficial in curing bad breath or halitosis.

  4. Cardamoms can be used as a mouth freshener and it is also very useful in treating halitosis. Chew cardamom after each meal and also in between the long intervals. This would definitely treat bad breath.

  5. Take 2 cups of water and add some sprigs of roughly sliced parsley in it. Add 3-4 whole cloves or one teaspoon clove powder. Strain this solution and use it regularly as a mouth wash.

  6. Add more and more fruits and vegetables in your daily diet. It is essential to have a well balanced diet. Have foods that consist of nuts, vegetables, seeds, grains and fruits. Increase in the intake of foods that are rich in vitamins C and E. It would be helpful in reducing the bad breath or treating halitosis.

  7. Take a glass of water and mix baking soda in it. Gargle daily with this water. It would help in treating halitosis.

  8. Take one tablespoon fresh lemon juice and add a little honey to it. Have this mixture daily morning and evening. This would be helpful in treatment of bad breath problem.

  9. Chewing mint leaves is also advantageous in curing bad breath or halitosis.

  10. Use mouth wash which have eucalyptol and thymol, these proved useful in destroying bad breath.

  11. It is advisable that persons suffering from halitosis should brush their teeth immediately after eating food rich in sulfur.
